TAKE THAT & PARTY

Yesterday evening I was at Take That's Progress Live Tour in Milan.
Let me tell you that it was one of the best concert I had the chance to see so far!!!
So much energy and passion.

The atmosphere was really inspiring.

Pet Shop Boys opened the concert with a sort of late '80s-early '90s disco mood before Gary, Mark, Howard and Jason took off the stage. The four started with their biggest hits after the reunion: Rule the World, Greatest Day, Patience and Shine leaving the crowd amazed and wanting for more and, most of all, wanting for Robbie. Then Robbie took off the stage playing his masterpieces Let Me Entertain You, Rock DJ, Come Undone, Feel and Angels.
This part of the show was really amazing. The crowd loved Robbie and he totally gave himself to the audience.

CHECK THIS OUT!!

Then, the original 5 Take That band was finally reunited on stage and entertained the crowd with both their last songs form "Progress" and their biggest hits from the past.

I really had the time of my life!

Couldn't stop singing and dancing all the time and sometimes I felt like being part of the band!

It was not a nostalgic celebration of the past, where you think about the past as a sort of "lost paradise", it was more like a really great party where you have the chance to remember the good times, celebrate the present and to positively think about the future.

I can proudly say that I'm a huge Take That fan and yesterday night they didn't disappoint me! :-)

I REALLY WANNA SEE THEM AGAIN!

IN THE EVIDENCE OF ITS BRILLIANCE

Five summers ago I lived one of most inspiring moments of my life while I was in Rome for Madonna's Confessions Tour. I have to remember me to take some time to think about those special moments.

BRITNEY, THE FEMME FATALE...

Yesterday evening I was very tired so I decided to relax a bit on my bed watching on my huge Full HD TV Britney’s “Femme Fatale Tour” recordered in Las Vegas.
Fortunately I had the chance to download the entire Full HD show from one of the Britney’s fan site last week, before it was removed for copyright infringement and I have to admit: it’s spectacular!!
Last time I saw Britney I was in New York in August 2009, at Madison Square Garden where she presented her “Circus Tour” and she left me a little disappointed compared to my first Britney “live” experience in Milan in 2004 for her Onyx Hotel Tour. She was beautiful as usual but she seemed without passion, without energy, neither happy or satisfied at all… she was not anymore the “old” Britney I used to know. It was a very good show but I felt like something was missing…
Well…. Yesterday night on TV I saw a totally different Britney. Seems like ages have passed from the Circus Tour era, and Britney is a different person now and a totally different artist. She’s coming back to the In the Zone era (Me against the music, Toxic, Outrageous) and it’s really inspiring for her fans to see her like that… The Femme Fatale tour is awesome and I was positively impressed by her decision to sing parts of her songs “live” (I mean… singing live it’s how a live show SHOULD be… but we know that for Britney it has always been a different story…). She dances, she’s full of energy and passion, she interacts with her fans, she’s having fun and she’s enjoying what she’s doing and people see that and have fun with her. Plus, she’s in a very good shape. It’s evident that she’s working out a lot and even thought she still has to lose some more weight, she’s getting better day by day.The costumes are really cool and I’ve never seen her with such beautiful hair!!

In every part of the show Britney impersonates a different type of femme fatale… a fairy one, a sexy one, a seductive one, an outrageous one, a sexy assassin... ending with an angelic one.

We start with a white outfit that she also uses during the first video interlude… followed by a black and beige costume for the second part of the show at the end of which she quotes Marilyn Monroe with her white skirt.

Then it comes the Egyptian part of the show where Britney performs the “(in)famous” Gimme More dressed in gold like a new blond Cleopatra of the 21th century.

The motorcycle session is the fourth one: here we have some of my favorite songs… the hit that made her famous all around the world “Baby One More Time”, “Slave 4u” and her masterpiece “Womanizer” (actually my favorite Britney’s song)… the Womanizer choreography is brilliant and magic and Womanizer sound really good in the version she’s using during her tour!! Full of energy…makes me wanna dance and sing.

Finally the last part of the show is Japan inspired”… she’s dressed like a sexy geisha.

The show ends with “Till the world ends” and magically Britney flies away as an angel with two enormous wings…. Remember the “Femme Fatale” concept? The Femme Fatale can be either an angel or a devil… a magical and mysterious creation… and Britney perfectly plays this role.

REALLY REALLY hope to see her live in Italy with her Femme Fatale Tour… even though there’re are no Italian shows confirmed, Italian fans keep on praying and hoping. It would be amazing to see the new-old-Britney live again!!
Com’on Britney!!! Come and visit Italy!

I'M COOLER THAN THE RED DRESS!

This morning, on my way to work, my mind has been captured by the Sugarbabes' song "Red Dress" that my iPod was playing.

It's been a while since I last listened to it and I couldn't remember the beauty of that pop-dance song produced by Xenomania (Girls Aloud, Kylie Minogue, Cher). Red Dress is surely one my Sugarbabes' favorite song with "Push The Button".

It's amazingly empowering and a continuous source of inspiration, strength and self-confidence for me. The rhythm is the typical one of those "hot-pop-dance-catchy" tracks. Everytime I listen to it, it's impossible to stay quiet, not to sing or not to let your body go with the rhythm... I cannot help myself!!
The lyrics are AMAZING.

"'Cos I'm cooler than the red dress,
I'd rather catch a guy on my own.
'Cos what you see the man gets,
And if he don't I'm better off here alone..."

It's amazing how this song makes me feel powerful, refreshed, sexier, outrageous... In one word: COOLER!! It really puts me in a very good mood, ready to better face the day!

It doesn't matter if you're black or white, if you're rich or poor, if you're wearing expensive clothes... The charm you have comes from within, and you don't need anybody or anything to proove it. You're the superstar thanks to your attitude and your inner grace, and you don't need a man to proove it!

Poor is the man who's not able to recognize that, he's not worth a second chance! It's better to leave him.

"Don't need candlelight to make you stay over,
I'm giving it up now... baby...
If that's what I gotta do just to own you,
I'm giving it up now... baby..."

Really, really INSPIRING!! :-)

NEOCLASSICISM...

The Neoclassic reminescents of the theatre used in Nicola Roberts' video reminded me of Steven Klein's shooting for Madonna's 2004 Reinvention Tour. There's a whole shooting centered on a Neoclassic Style featuring Madonna dressed as a new Marie Antoniette which recalls the armosphere of the famous Sofia Coppola's movie "Marie Antoniette". Madonna is sit on a long chair wearing a silver-grey wig with her pale face as if she had no blood in her veins. The atmosphere is a bit surreal and very magical. The neoclassic style is mixed with touch of decadentism and Madonna looks like a spirit, a ghost of Marie Antoniette, that still tries to appeal to her public and to look desirable despite her tragic destiny has already been written.

L.O.V.E. DANCE TO THE BEAT OF MY DRUM!

TRULY THINK THAT THIS STYLE IS AMAZING (i'm not talking about the concept of the video or about the song)!!!
BUT... The photography is awesome!!!! Her ultra white skin is fantastic!! And the setting (an empty theatre with some Neoclassic reminescents) is so pretty... chapeau!
